Dr. Julie S. Lundgren

English Speaking Psychologist in Gothenburg, Sweden

Overview and Philosophy of Treatment

Educated in Michigan, USA, I have a doctoral degree and more than 20 years of  experience encompassing a wide range of psychological and psychiatric difficulties with clients from diverse backgrounds. I have a particular specialty in child and adolescent psychotherapy and I also work with adults in individual and couples therapy as well as parent guidance.

Psychotherapy, brief or long-term, is an excellent means of resolving emotional difficulties in a nonjudgmental, confidential setting. Unless understood, inner conflicts may become expressed in negative behavioral patterns which can hinder development and enjoyment of life. I believe there are important reasons for the things we do and feel, even when our feelings and behaviors seem not to make sense.

The first step toward getting help is often the most difficult. Moments of transtion can create stress, but can also provide opportunities for growth, deeper self-understanding, and change.  The decision to come for therapy or to bring one's child for treatment is often difficult but the potential benefits can be lasting and profound.

I currently work as a member of a private clinical practice, Allé Psykoterapi & Psykoanalys.   I invite you to review my CV to learn more about my professional background. Please contact me for more information or to schedule a consultation. See also http://www.allepsykoterapi.com/.
